The BlackBerry Key2 is only days away from becoming official, and you don’t have to wait any longer to see exactly what the phone will look like.
Evan Blass, the mobile industry insider at VentureBeat, took to Twitter with photos of TCL’s soon-to-be-announced mobile device. The photos show it from various angles and in two colors.
BlackBerry Mobile, which is a sub-brand of the Chinese company, will be riding on nostalgia to push units. Like the KeyOne, the Key2 will ship with a physical keyboard for meaningful tactile interaction.
What’s new in this leak is the Key2 with silver accents. The phone’s only been spotted in an all-black appearance, but the addition of silver accents gives it a classic vibe. It really acts as a throwback to the days when BlackBerry was dominant in the industry.

Aside from leaked live shots and press renders, little else is known about the phone. The Key2 will be a lot like its predecessor, but TCL is switching over to a dual-camera setup on the back. TCL also seems to have ditched the glossiness and transitioned to a matte finish. And the backside, which should still be rubber-based, has a different pattern in the photos.
The Key2 will likely come in with mid-range specifications. Its maker, who holds the global license to create BlackBerry-branded products, hasn’t pushed into the high-end segment yet.
Your wait is almost over. The BlackBerry Key2 is set for a global debut on Thursday, June 7. TCL is hosting its launch event in New York City with media from around the world being brought in, we’ll have the latest on the phone for you as soon as it’s official.
