Google Home Mini Golf travels the US this summer

This summer, you could play mini golf at one of Google’s pop-up courses in the United States to win free stuff. The Mountain View-based company announced a nationwide tour for Google Home Mini Golf that’s making stops in select cities.

Along with the opportunity grab some goodies, you’ll learn about what the family of smart speakers can do. The pop-up courses will have the Google Home, Google Home Mini, and Google Home Max on display. Visitors can use each, asking Google Assistant questions or making requests to complete actions.

Here are the participating cities and their dates:

  • New York (May 30 – June 4)
  • Chicago (June 14 – June 17)
  • Los Angeles (June 30 – July 5)
  • Atlanta (July 26 – July 29)

The Google Home Mini Golf courses have unique obstacles at every hole. Some holes are dimly lit, and others just need the excitement of a dance party. With the help of Google Home, you can put it all together. But then you’re relying solely on a good stroke to put the ball in.

It’s merely a promotion, though, as Google doesn’t have a new smart speaker in development that anyone is aware of. The company seems content with how the Home, Mini, and Max have been received so far.

If you happen to visit one of Google’s pop-up courses, let us know how it goes! We might make a stop by the New York City or Los Angeles locations.
