It looks like Tony Stark needs to rethink his security. The original Iron Man suit worn by Robert Downey Jr. in the 2008 Marvel Cinematic Universe commencement film has reportedly been stolen from the warehouse it was stored at.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the incident occurred in a warehouse located in Pacoima in the San Fernando Valley sometime between February and April. However, it wasn’t noticed missing until now.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division is now investigating the theft. So far, no other missing items have been reported. Disney has not commented on the missing suit.

The suit is reportedly valued at $325,000, so its theft makes sense financially. Flipping it on the black market can net a good amount of money. However, now that the missing suit is being looked into by the LAPD, it may be much harder to move.

It’s ironic that throughout the MCU, primarily the Iron Man movies, it is a common plot line to have some villain try to steal Tony Stark’s Iron Man suits. In fact, in everyone of his standalone trilogy and in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Iron Man tech is attempted to be stolen.

Now, a theft has happened in real life, proving that fact really is stranger than fiction.
