LG G7 vs. Pixel 2 XL: Is there a new Android king?

Once upon of time, LG and Google teamed up to create some of the best Android phones of all time. Now, the companies have gone their separate ways to create their own individual flagships. Google introduced its newest flagship, the Pixel 2 XL, last year while LG just took the wraps off the G7.

So, which one is better?

That’s kind of a loaded question and the answer will be based on your specific needs. Much like Samsung, LG is marching to its own beat when it comes to software and design. That means an ugly skin on top of stock Android, with a few extra features LG deems worthy, but it also has a great design comparable to other flagships.

The Pixel 2 XL is the best way to get stock Android along with the best that Google has to offer, which is timely updates and a kick ass camera. Unfortunately, you’ll be giving up wireless charging with a somewhat disappointing all-aluminum body.

The choice between the two is not clear cut. Those considering the two will have to weigh the pros and cons carefully, because in the end, each is great. Compare the two for yourself in the spec shootout down below.
