Acer’s Aspire S24 is finally in the U.S.

Acer’s latest all-in-one desktop is making its way to the United States, more than six months after announcing it. The Aspire S24 arrives with “modern sophistication” and “first-class performance and convenience for the tech-savvy chic.” Fancy language aside, the Aspire S24 is a pretty strong computer with decent looks.

Computers in this category normally store everything behind the display, but Acer decided to house components and ports in a base. Almost everything is black, but the company added gold accents to the Aspire S24 to give off a premium vibe. The neck that connects the display to the base also has a hinge so users can tilt for an optimal viewing experience.

There’s even a hidden feature in the base. Acer managed to implement a wireless charging pad for Qi-enabled mobile devices. Just drop your phone or tablet onto the base, and it’ll begin charging.

Acer is very proud of the ultra-thin bezels around the display, too. The Aspire S24 has a 90% screen-to-body ratio. And a barely-there black border surrounding the display has a slim gold colored-chin below. You’re looking at one of the most attractive all-in-one desktops here.

While it’s not a powerhouse to roll through complex games, the Aspire S24 is perfect for everyday activities and even some more demanding tasks. The device features a 23.8-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display, a Core i5-8250U processor, Intel Graphics 620, up to 32GB of memory (12GB standard), a 1TB hard drive, three USB 3.1 ports, one USB 2.0 port, and two HDMI ports.

The Aspire S24 will be available later this month, and its price tag is a cool $880. Acer also includes a wireless keyboard and mouse. The company hasn’t named specific retailers offering the Aspire S24, but it should be sold by Amazon and Best Buy in the coming weeks.
