The Galaxy S9 is not only a week old, but some troublesome issues are already being reported. According to Reddit and Samsung forum posts, multiple users are reporting dead spots on their Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus screens.

Many of these users reveal a chunk of the display doesn’t properly work, failing to detect touch gestures. It isn’t a particular area that is being affected, with some users stating issues at the top while others say they’re noticing issues on the bottom.

It seems the issue is more prevalent on the bigger S9 Plus. Some users have found a workaround by upping the display sensitivity, and one user reported the issue was fixed by factory resetting their device.

While display issues are nothing to scoff at, they have been quite common as of late. Pixel 2 owners reported multiple display issues, while the iPhone X display was also affected when exposed to cooler weather.
