HTC created some of the most beautiful phones in history, but last year the company took a step back with the U11. It lacked many of the things you expect from a modern flagship. That, however, is likely to change in 2018. Reports have suggested HTC will implement a fresh design and cutting-edge specifications for the U12 due out in the coming months.
The latest piece of information regarding the U12 says it’ll be offered in a simple color with an attractive twist.
Both the front and back of the 2018 flagship will be made of glass. The frame, meanwhile, is set to be aluminum. Neither is surprising since glass and metal have been popular materials for the last few years. It’s the color mentioned in this leak, though, that got our attention.
The U12 will be sold in matte white, according to HTC Source.
Although the exact design remains unknown, a person familiar with the company’s plans was able to confirm at least one color. Specifications, on the other hand, emerged through another reliable insider earlier this week. HTC is clearly going all-in to make the U12 a catalyst in its turnaround.
HTC skipped MWC 2018 last month, but a launch might not be too far away. The U12 is expected to be made official in March or April.
