Samsung has resumed the Android Oreo update for Galaxy S8 devices. The Korean company halted the roll out last week over a reboot glitch, which has now been fixed. The update is rolling out in Germany, with many other European countries to follow. It should reach the U.S in a few days.

Samsung completely changed the firmware version. There are now two new firmware versions: G950FXXU1CRB7 and G955XXU1CRB7. Be on the lookout for either of these for your S8 and S8 Plus devices. The software adds many new features, such as updates to Bixby, revamped emoji and all the features Android Oreo brings with it.

The resumed roll out times perfectly with Samsung’s anticipated announcement of the Galaxy S9 at Mobile World Congress on February 25.
