We have good news if you’ve been meaning to swap out the battery of your old iPhone as part of Apple’s battery replacement program. Previously, wait times for the battery replacement eclipsed over a month. That wait time is getting severely cut down, according to analysts.
Wait times for replacing your iPhone battery have been cut down as little as two weeks. The news comes from Barclays analysts who say the average wait time is the average standard at most Apple Stores. The maximum wait time now also saw a decline to four and a half weeks, down from the previous high of six weeks.
The two-week wait time came from a study of 30 Apple Stores, so this is by no means an all-encompassing standard for all Apple Stores, but it does paint a better picture of the wait times around the country.
Fair warning, however: Apple has reportedly sent a memo to its retail stores mentioning iPhone 6 Plus batteries won’t be delivered until March.
