Here’s a look at the Galaxy S9 Plus in Coral Blue

by Justin Herrick | February 7, 2018

When the Galaxy S9 launches later this month, it’ll be unveiled in a palette of four different colors. Midnight Black, Lilac Purple, Titanium Gray, and Coral Blue have been confirmed by mobile industry insider Evan Blass. Already we’ve seen the Midnight Black and Lilac Purple models in separate leaks, and the latest color to make an early appearance is Coral Blue.

The world’s most reliable leaker shared an image of Samsung’s next flagship in its blue-based shade, this time on the bigger and stronger Galaxy S9+:

As expected, only the back’s color has changed. Samsung implemented the Coral Blue on the entire back and up to the middle on the sides. Up front is still black, and that’s standard across all models as was the case with the Galaxy S8 in 2017.

There’s not much else to say about this leak, but we do get another opportunity to see the dual-camera setup on the back of the Galaxy S9+. Samsung plans to charge more money for both variants of the 2018 flagship, and at least the Galaxy S9+ does something to clearly justify an increase. The Galaxy S9, however, appears to have minor upgrades over last year’s phone and might get overlooked by consumers.

The date on the phone in Coral Blue also indicates a likely release date. Previous leaks have suggested the Galaxy S9 will be released in mid-March, and the date shown in this leak say March 16. Samsung would announce its high-end phone on Feb. 26, take pre-orders as soon as the next day, and begin shipping it globally within two weeks.
