Here’s the Galaxy S9 in Lilac Purple, and a fan favorite color is returning

Of course the Galaxy S9 will be sold in traditional colors like black and silver, but Samsung wants to generate even more interest through colors you don’t normally see on any phone.

Evan Blass, the mobile industry insider at VentureBeat, just revealed two colors that Samsung plans to implement for its next flagship. One is a slightly different shade from last year’s Galaxy S8, and the other is returning for this year’s Galaxy S9. Blass first leaked the Lilac Purple model with an image attached, and it resembles the Orchid Gray used in 2017. The name, though, tells you there’s much more purple than gray in the color.

Here’s what the Galaxy S9 in Lilac Purple looks like:

The second color Blass leaked is Coral Blue. Samsung’s used this before, most recently on the Galaxy S8. But it wasn’t until the summer when the Galaxy S8 in Coral Blue arrived. There’s a chance that, with the designs being so similar, Samsung wants to get every color onto the market as soon as possible to avoid consumers getting bored quickly.

If you’re wondering what the specifications will be, check out Blass’ leak from two weeks ago. Pretty much everything there is to know about Samsung’s 2018 flagship was shared.

Samsung’s MWC 2018 event to launch the Galaxy S9 will take place on February 25. Despite most details being leaked already, the company should be expected to have a few tricks up its sleeve. Otherwise we’re in for a very boring introduction to what will be a very popular product.
