Apple has begun selling refurbished iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models through its online store. The iPhones will come with a sweet 10-percent discount and all the customary Apple warranty perks.
Here’s how pricing for the iPhone 7 breaks down: $499 for the 32GB, $589 for the 128GB and $769 for the 256GB. The refurbished iPhone 7 Plus will only be available with two storage options (the 256GB is not in stock): $599 for the 32GB and $689 for the 128GB. The iPhone 7 will be available in five colors: Black, Jet Black, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold, while the 7 Plus will be available in three colors: Black, Gold and Rose Gold.
The 10-percent discount comes out to about $50 to $80 off. That’s a sizable discount for what amounts to a new iPhone. Apple says it runs the refurbished models through a series of tests to make sure they function properly, including replacing the battery and the outer shell. The refurbed models will also come with the one-year limited warranty that can be extended to two years by purchasing AppleCare+.
Those looking to save even more money can take a look at the iPhone SE and iPhone 6s, the only other iPhone models Apple offers cheaper than the refurbished iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
