LG settled its class action bootloop lawsuit—Here’s what you get

LG reached a settlement on Wednesday in a class action lawsuit brought against the company over bootloop that affected a number of devices released between 2015 and 2016, including the G4, V10, V20, Nexus 5X, and G5.

The suit was brought against LG last summer after customers who owned the affected devices endured a never-ending reboot cycle, which LG later confirmed was a manufacturing defect.

If you owned one of the devices mentioned above and were a class member, you are liable to receive $425 in cash or a $700 rebate toward another LG phone.

You’ll have to submit a Proof of Claim survey by February 12, 2018, in order to be approved for the settlement.
