It’s almost time for the biggest football game of the year, but the actual matchup doesn’t matter unless you’re fan of the Philadelphia Eagles or New England Patriots. So you’re focus will more likely than not be on the Big Game party. Everyone gets together to chat football, eat a bunch of food, and drink some adult beverages without shame. You, however, can always do better to impress the friends and family you’re having over.

These are the things you need to elevate your Big Game party.

Amazon Fire TV

  • Price: $70, eligible for Prime shipping

Amazon’s Fire TV might be the best media player on the market. Google’s Chromecast is a slightly cheaper, but this one provides or more traditional experience through a physical remote. Both live and on-demand content is available, so you can get your pregame fix of football in before kickoff.

Remember that you won’t need a TV provider login to watch the Big Game on NBC. The game will be streamed live on the NFL and NBC Sports apps for free nationwide. And, if you have a subscription to a live TV streaming service, you can go through their app on the Fire TV. Once the game ends, the pay walls go back up and every service TV provider, old or new, will require you to have an active subscription for streaming access.

The Fire TV is definitely worth the money even while professional football takes a break for six months. Amazon’s media player allows you to access thousands of channels and apps, listen to music, and interact with Alexa.

TCL 4K Television

  • Price: $650, eligible for Prime shipping

Televisions don’t have to be expensive. Only those who are incredibly picky about picture quality should disregard TCL’s C Series. It’s an affordable range of 4K Ultra HD units that go easy on your bank account. Sizing starts at 55 inches and goes up to 75 inches. With the bigger measurements come higher prices, but you’re getting high-end features from this television.

If you’re looking for something even less expensive, check out the S Series. TCL offers a bunch of different models to ensure you get 4K Ultra HD on any budget.

One thing to note is that these televisions don’t have Google Cast or Fire TV built-in. Roku’s platform, which is also very capable, runs the show. There’s no need to worry about not being able to watch the big game on the C Series or S Series. Roku’s software gives you direct access to the apps you need.

TCL included 4K Ultra HD resolution, Dolby Vision HDR, Edge LED Blacklighting with Dynamic Contrast, and 128Hz refresh rate. Needless to say, the Big Game on your television will look spectacular.

Crock-Pot Smart Slow Cooker

  • Price: $150, eligible for Prime shipping

People at your Big Game party have to eat. If you don’t feed them, don’t expect anyone to stick around after halftime. Make sure you prepare enough food, too. There’s nothing worse than cooking something delicious but only a small number of guests can have some. Take advantage of your stove and oven because those can probably fit a lot of food at once, but considering Crock-Pot’s connected slow cooker as well.

This stainless steel slow cook fits six quarts, allows you to adjust the time and temperature, and can be controlled from your phone.

Check around for various recipes if you don’t already have something in mind. A slow cooker is great for chili, stew, meats, and more. If you’re not exactly the best in the kitchen, this will certainly pick up a bit of the slack. Most recipes for a slow cooker aren’t exactly complex.

Messes happen, but they’re even more prone to happen at a party. Lots of people are walking around with food and drinks in their hands. It takes just one little bump and there’s an accident that you, the host, has to clean up right away.

Eufy’s RoboVac 11+ cleans your floors on its own. Place it on the floor, turn it on, the robotic vacuum will travel from room-to-room picking up crumbs while avoiding obstacles. The RoboVac 11+ can run for up to 100 minutes on a single charge, meaning your home can be cleaned up in a timely fashion when you wish.

It’s also useful before the party starts. Have a furry friend strolling throughout the house? The RoboVac 11+ can pick up hair so your place looks near-spotless before guests arrive. Microsoft Xbox One / Sony PlayStation 4

  • Price: $250, eligible for Prime shipping

Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4 are all-in-one machines. Aside from playing games, you can stream video and music. We’re recommending these two because, prior to the start of the Big Game, you can play Madden NFL 18.

EA Sports release yet another excellent game that drops you into an NFL stadium controlling an entire team or a single player. Madden NFL 18 puts you against the computer, a friend using a second controller, or another gamer located elsewhere in the world. If you’re interested, you can play this year’s Big Game matchup or let the computer run a simulation. There have been years when EA Sports’ official simulation has gotten very close to the final score.

When the Big Game is over and the confetti drops, you can either continue playing Madden or move onto another game. Both Microsoft and Sony have award-winning first-party titles joined by a plethora of third-party titles.
