Amazon’s handheld Alexa device is free right now for a limited time

Ever wondered what it would be like to have Amazon’s Alexa in your hand? Now is the best time ever to try it out. Amazon is running a special sale on its Dash Wand that you aren’t going to want to miss out on.

Amazon has marked down the Dash Wand to $20 in this post-holiday season. We know you’re thinking, “That’s not exactly free…” but there is a caveat. After you place your first order with the device Amazon will put a $20 credit on your account to use on whatever purchase you would like.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Dash Wand – and we don’t blame you as even Amazon launched this somewhat in a stealth mode – here are some examples from the product page of what you can do with it.

  • Groceries have never been easier. All new Amazon Dash Wand with Alexa helps you find recipes, convert cups to ounces, buy and reorder essentials, find nearby restaurants and more.
  • Say it or scan a barcode. It’s added to your shopping cart. Just say “paper towels.”
  • Water-resistant, durable design, and magnetic so you can stick it on your fridge. You’ll need an iPhone or Android phone to register the device.

Although the Dash Wand does include the Alexa AI, it is not capable of playing music. The page does say, however, that the ability to set times is comind meaning this could become an essential tool in your kitchen.

As the device is virtually free, what are you waiting for?
