Apple fully embraces Animoji karaoke in latest ad

Apple stumbled upon a sleeping hit with Animoji karaoke. Animoki is one of the main selling points of the iPhone X, but it was mostly good for sending funny messages to friends. That was until Animoji karaoke became a thing, and now Apple is fully embracing it with its latest ad.

Sending Animojis to a friend is funny, but sending Animojis of yourself singing is epic. That was the case when Harry MacCraken did a Animoji karaoke of “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Snazzy Labs with “Gasolina.” Needless to say, both of those videos became viral hits.

Now Apple is jumping on the hype with its newest commercial. It is a quick 38-second video that shows off a model singing to Big Boi’s “All Night.” Of course it’s an insanely catchy song and makes you want to sing along to it, highlighting the allure of the feature. Apple even made sure the model’s outfit matched the specific Animoji she is singing along with.

At the very end, a title card the reads “iPhone X + ” with the model singing along inserted next to that, insinuating that anyone can do it. And that’s the special part of Animoji karaoke; anybody can do it if they want to.

It’s very sly of Apple to jump on one of the most unexpected quirks of the iPhone X and incorporate it into its latest round of marketing. You can check out the video for yourself  down below
