If you had to imagine what magazines Deadpool reads, where would you start? Probably Good Housekeeping, right? That’s where the Merc with a Mouth is starting his advertising campaign for his sequel, alongside a Thanksgiving-themed poster for the movie, which is set to hit next spring.
Here’s the poster, themed after Norman Rockwell’s “Freedom from Want” painting, the poster features the whole Deadpool family, including all the first movie’s big characters, as well as newcomers Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beetz).

But the meat is in the Good Housekeeping issue. Literally.
The promotional issue of the magazine features Wade Wilson suited up on the cover. Inside are recipes and holiday tips straight out of Deadpool’s (writers’) mouths. Collider got its hands on a copy and revealed some of what we can look forward to in the issue, which is apparently being handed out in cities around the U.S.
The cover teases stories like “How to be a Supper Hero,” and “Turkey Tips: Giving Your Family The Bird.” Inside are recipes like D’s Spiced Nuts and Creamy Clam Skinny Dip. The recipes are real recipes, too.
This is exactly the kind of bizarre humor and brand synergy we’d expect from Mr. Pool, and I love that Good Housekeeping actually got in on it.
