Hulu’s first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe is on its way, and to go along with that we have the first trailer for The Runaways.
Lets take a look at the first full trailer for The Runaways and see what we can expect from the latest Marvel property to grave our televisions.
For those of you unfamiliar with the comic, The Runaways tells the story of six teenagers that discover their parents are a supervillain group known as The Pride. Meaning their parents are literally – and we mean that – the worst. They band together to try to stop their parents plot and discover their own abilities and skills along the way.
The first story arc in the comic series was a page turner that kept you anxiously waiting to see where things would go. However, the trailer already shows a few changes such as I count only 10 parents in The Pride as opposed to 12. Possibly none of the kids being related has been changed? We’re not sure.
How this series fits in with the MCU remains to be seen. We have no idea if there will be references to the greater continuity or not, but in the comic they were pretty much out on their own up until the end except for a brief run in with Cloak & Dagger of all people… who now have their own show over on Free Form. Maybe a crossover could happen? We’ll have to wait and see.
The Runaways premieres on Hulu on Nov. 21.
