OnePlus knows we’re aware that a new phone is approaching.
The OnePlus 5T isn’t being shy as images and specifications have leaked repeatedly in recent weeks. It should become official by the end of November, and now OnePlus appears to be sending out teasers of its own. Two executives from the company have tweeted images that likely belong to the OnePlus 5T and its two-camera module.
Here are the tweets:

Carl Pei and Pete Lau have been with the company since the beginning. The duo created OnePlus in late 2013, acting as the faces ever since. Both of them, just minutes apart, tweeted out “cool” and “impressive” pictures with the same follow-up comment. Their tweets say “Must be a great camera” with a winking face emoji.
It’s the phrasing and timing of the tweets causing everyone to believe these pictures were taken by the OnePlus 5T. Unless Pei and Lau are just feeding into speculation, this should confirm the phone’s existence. There’s no other reason they’d tweet pretty much the same thing within six minutes of each other. OnePlus, as well as its executives and employees, are known for teasing upcoming announcements in not-so-subtle ways.
Don’t expect the OnePlus 5T to be an entirely new phone, though. It should feature the same body as the OnePlus 5 but with a 6-inch Full HD+ (2160×1080) Optic AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Everything else, like the processor and cameras, should remain untouched.
Since OnePlus doesn’t host in-person launch events, it’s possible the new phone will debut at random at any time. The OnePlus 5 keeps disappearing from the company’s online store, so the OnePlus 5T’s debut isn’t far off.
