Netflix has dropped the final trailer for the upcoming second season of Stranger Things and it shows all hell breaking loose, literally.
The first trailer debuted at Comic Con in July, and in the time since, Netflix has slowly been revealing more information about the season, including the names of the episodes. But the final trailer is our best look yet.
It goes without saying the trailer confirms that trouble is returning to Hawkins, Indiana. It opens in a dark, snowy forrest, as Eleven walks up to a wood chest and mysteriously find Eggos waffles. Looks like somebody is still awaiting her return. We then get a series of quick cuts that tell us Will may be done with the Upside Down, but the Upside Down isn’t done with him.
“These are not nightmares, it’s happening,” utters Hopper as the foreboding is notched up to a level ten. We get our best look yet at the gigantic octopus-like creature from Will’s visions. By the end, you get a clear sense that all roads lead back to the Upside Down.
It’s a fantastic trailer you should watch if you’re a fan of the series. The second season of Stranger Things will be available to stream in its entirety beginning October 27.
