With the November 3 release date for Thor: Ragnarok coming up quick, anticipation is building to a fever pitch. The world premiere for the movie was held last night in Los Angeles, and a key detail has been confirmed—exactly how many post-credit scenes are in the movie.
The first Marvel movie this year, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, took the crown for most post-credit scenes with five. Most of those weren’t interconnected with the rest of the MCU, but still, that’s a lot of extra content. Thor: Ragnarok is a little more scaled back, with only two post-credit scenes.
Marvel has made a habit of having at least one post-credit scene in every movie it releases, dating back to Iron Man in 2008. Thor: Ragnarok is no different, with two-post credit scenes. One of those is a just quick scene pertaining to the movie while the other is a scene that connects to the overarching story of the MCU.
We don’t know precise details of what’s in these scenes, but that’s a good thing because we don’t want to spoil the surprise.
Unfortunately, it has been confirmed from early viewers that the scene won’t be the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War as some fans has been speculating. Marvel did something similar to this in the past by attaching The Avengers trailer to Captain America: First Avenger. We’ll have to continue waiting for the trailer a while more.
