Marvel is still playing coy with The Punisher‘s release date, but we’re now in a steady stream of teasers, trailers, and Easter eggs to wade through, meaning it can’t be far off. One of those Easter eggs comes to us through the Daredevil Facebook page.
Two of the big arcs in the second season of Daredevil were, of course, the appearance of the Punisher himself, Frank Castle, and Karen Page’s career pivot from legal aide to intrepid reporter. The new post offers some congrats to Page on her work at the Marvel Netflix Universe’s newspaper, the New York Bulletin. The picture, however, is where things get interesting.
But what’s that, there? A login and password, you say? In the same photo as the Bulletin’s website? I wonder if…
Indeed, if you pop over to NYBulletin.com, and punch in the info there into the login – Karen_P and M@tt&F0ggy – it leads to a collection of Punisher-related photos and clippings.
Also, Karen, really? That’s your password – and you wrote it on a notepad? And then left it out on your desk? Wasn’t Wilson Fisk gunning for you like, two years ago?
There isn’t anything especially new here. Some photos of the Merry-Go-Round where Frank took out a big chunk of New York’s Irish mafia make up the brunt of the content, along with that scan of Castle’s bullet-impacted head from Daredevil season 2. The biggest thing that I can’t remember seeing anywhere is the photo of Castle’s wife and children, all of whom we’re sure to see in living color in the full-length series, as it seems to deal quite a bit with Castle’s past both at home and in the military.
Marvel’s The Punisher hits Netflix… probably when we least expect it.
