Apple on Thursday released the first public beta of iOS 11.1, which arrives a day after Apple introduced the same software to developers. The update introduces a number of bug fixes and enhancements, though some of iOS 11’s absent features, such as Apple Pay Cash and iCloud for iMessage, are nowhere to be found.
If you’re part of Apple’s public beta program, you should see the software rolling out over-the-air.
Apple’s iOS 11 is a significant update for a number of reasons, the biggest being it signals the arrival of augmented reality to the masses. Now, it’s just a matter of Apple fine tuning the software to be the complete package the company promised at WWDC earlier this summer.
