October is the month of Halloween, but nobody tell that to HBO. Instead of going heavy with the horror flicks, HBO went in different direction. Among the list of new arrival to its streaming service (HBO Now, HBO Go) is a bunch of fantastic action movies.

The biggest name on the list is John Wick: Chapter 2. The sequel to the wildly popular hitman underworld story follows up on the original storyline. John Wick is continuing to enact murderous revenge upon those who killed his cute puppy and sole his Mustang. It’s a fantastic follow-up that expands on the underworld of hitmen that is global.

Here are some of the other action flicks worth checking out:

  • Wanted
  • The Terminator
  • X-Men Origins: Wolverine
  • Constantine

If you thought HBO would fail you and not add some great Halloween movies, you were very wrong. HBO has you covered three fantastic horror thrillers—Lights Out, The Purge: Election Year and Split.
