Apple took the stage today to announce three new iPhones: the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the long-awaited iPhone X (pronounced as ten). There were a lot of major upgrades for both hardware and software that make each option a very enticing purchase.

By now, you’re probably asking yourself when you can pick one up. The available dates for each option is different along with the price, so it can be hard to understand how much each model will cost.

But here at TechnoBuffalo, we’ve got you covered with a comprehensive guide to buying a new iPhone. Let’s dive in.

iPhone X

  • Price: $999 for 64GB model and $1,149 for 256GB model
  • Colors: Space Gray and Silver
  • Pre-order: October 27
  • Release date: November 3
  • Carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint

This is the big-name iPhone that everyone will want. And why not, it’s littered with crazy upgrades, but it’ll cost a pretty penny and you’ll have to wait a second to get your hands on it.

The iPhone X with 64GB of storage will start at $999 and climb to $1,149 for the 256GB option. And you’re going to have to wait until October 27 to pre-order and November 3 to finally acquire it. That’s over a month later than the regular slate of iPhone availability, but given the reports of limited production, it was expected.

Breaking down the monthly payments, if you opt to pay it off over a 24-month span, that will cost $41.66. That’s only for the $999 option on a basic installment plan. If you opt for Apple’s version with Apple Care included into the price, the payments jump to over $50 per month.

iPhone 8 Plus

  • Price: $799 for 64GB model and $949 for 256GB model
  • Colors: Space Gray, Gold and Silver
  • Pre-order: September 15
  • Release date: September 22
  • Carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint

The iPhone 8 Plus is the follow-up to the 7 Plus, but it’s only a minor upgrade. Pricing stayed relatively the same with a $799 64GB option and $949 256GB option. Gone is the 128GB variant, so you either go for the smaller storage or the expansive option.

Pre-orders begin September 15 with shipments arriving September 22, more in-line with the normal availability of iPhone releases.

iPhone 8

  • Price: $699 for 64GB model and $849 for 256GB model
  • Colors: Space Gray, Gold and Silver
  • Pre-order: September 15
  • Release date: September 22
  • Carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint

It’s the same story with the iPhone 8 as it is with the iPhone 8 Plus. The only major difference is pricing. This will be Apple’s cheapest new release, coming in at $699 for the 64GB option and $849 for the 256GB model.

Pre-orders and shipments will be the same as the iPhone 8 Plus.
