The new iPhone could be available in red from the start.
Rather than waiting months to release it, Apple appears to be preparing the release its latest phone in red alongside the other colors. A video posted online on Monday allegedly shows the iPhone X and iPhone 8 in red as well as gray, gold, black, and white.
It looks like the video was shot in a store; therefore, the devices you see could very much be real. Apple’s retail stores and its partner’s locations could have units on-hand and ready to put on display for prospective buyers.
The first red iPhone arrived earlier this year. Apple released the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in the color through a partnership with the ONE Campaign. All products created for the non-profit assist in funding the mission to eradicate HIV/AIDS in Africa. Apple, in addition to many companies from various industries, has been a longtime partner of the ONE Campaign. Cases, an Apple Watch band, Beats equipment, and an iPod Touch have all participated in raising awareness for the cause.
So will Apple actually release the iPhone X or iPhone 8 in red immediately? The wait is almost over. Tomorrow we’ll find out exactly what Apple has coming. Stick with TechnoBuffalo throughout the day for live coverage from the Apple event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino.
