A state-of-the-art facility built specifically for esports competitions will open next month in California. Blizzard Entertainment has announced the Blizzard Arena Los Angeles is almost ready, scheduling its first event for October 7.

Blizzard created the Blizzard Arena Los Angeles with both players and fans in mind. It features multiple sound stages, control rooms, and player lounges. There’s also a store that’ll be used to sell game-related merchandise dependent on the event going on.

The Overwatch Contenders Playoffs will serve as the grand opening for the venue. High-ranking teams from North America and Europe will battle on October 7 and 8 for prizes and recognition. After that event, Blizzard also has the Summer Championship for the Hearthstone Championship Tour lined up on October 13. The best players from that event will go on to compete in the Hearthstone World Championship in early 2018.

Other titles including Heroes of the Storm and World of Warcraft will be showcased, too. But the company will continue utilizing BlizzCon, its annual convention in Anaheim, as the host for select events.

The Blizzard Arena Los Angeles is located in Burbank, California.
