Phones with two cameras on the back are so yesterday. You need a phone with two displays. And it looks like ZTE is stepping up to deliver. A report published on Tuesday reveals the Chinese company is working on a device that can fold into two different positions.
The Axon Multy, according to Evan Blass of VentureBeat, is a two-screen phone that will be released this fall exclusively on AT&T’s network in the United States. When unfolded, the devices shows a 6.8-inch screen. But it’s unclear if the screen size is cut in half when folded.
Somehow, even when its displays are folded, the Axon Multy is said to measure just 10mm thick.
Rumored specifications for the device include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 20MP rear camera, and a 3120mAh battery. You can also expect the Axon Multy to ship with custom software that highlights the foldable display.
Blass says ZTE is likely to debut the Axon Multy in mid-October, and AT&T will have the price set at $650.
