The fifth Indiana Jones movie is going to happen whether we like it or not, but we have some good news. No, Speilberg can’t unmake The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but actor Shia LeBoeuf and his character Mutt will not be in the film.

Word comes via screenwriter David Koepp, who is leading the way on the screenplay for the movie.

“Harrison plays Indiana Jones, that I can certainly say,” Koepp said, speaking to Entertainment Weekly. “And the Shia LeBoeuf character is not in the film.”

Koepp previously revealed that George Lucas is also completely uninvolved in the movie.

Indiana Jones 5 is set to hit theaters on July 10, 2020. Spielberg just finished filming The Post, and Koepp says that when Indy’s next adventure gets rolling depends on Spielberg and Ford.

“I know we’ve got a script we’re mostly happy with. World will be endless, of course, and ongoing…. If the stars align, hopefully [Indiana Jones 5] will be his next film,” Koepp said of Speilberg and the script.
