Sony’s latest smartphone could feature a dual-display—but it probably won’t

Sony is testing a new smartphone that’s equipped with a 6.2-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, according to a listing spotted on GFX Bench’s online database on Thursday.

But that might not be the only display it sports. The listing also points towards the handset, which was tested running a modified build of Android 8.0 Oreo, featuring a colossal 12.3-inch screen with a resolution 3,840 x 2,160 pixels.

We aren’t sold on the idea

We, however, aren’t sold on the idea of Sony working on a dual-screen smartphone with contrasting display sizes. GFX Bench has been known to generate false results from time to time, so it’s (probably) safe to say that’s what’s happened here.

Sorry, Sony fans.
