DJI is a company that has become synonymous with drones, so it isn’t surprising in the least it showed up at IFA in Berlin with at least something, but two new models? We’re on board.

We’ll start off the new and improved Mavic Pro Platinum. The diminutive drone is the perfect companion for field work where space is at a premium.

Building off the success of the Mavic Pro, the new Platinum model sees an 11 percent gain in flight time letting it clock in at 30 minutes. New electronic speed controllers and redesigned propellers are also included, and also compatible with the original model if you wish to upgrade.

With a range of 4.3 miles, the Mavic Pro Platnium’s 4K stabilised camera is going to be able to fly a good distance from you and provide you with stunning images.

If you’re up something a bit more advanced, then you’re going to want to check out the gorgeous new Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian.

Decked out in a new sleek matte-gray Obsidian shell, the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian sports a 1-inch CMOS sensor and 4K 60fps recording capability. In short, if you need to shoot something professionally, then this should be just what you need.

The Mavic Pro Platinum will be priced at £1,119/€1,299 while the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian will come in at £1,589/€1,699. Both will be available this month.
