LG has made the V30 official. There’s no denying LG truly hit a new high with its latest flagship, improving upon everything the G6 did right and more.
Needless to say, it’s making a strong argument to be your next Android device of choice.
If you are thinking of buying a V30, there’s a few details you’ll want to know like pricing, variants and availability. We’ve gathered all that information for you in one convenient post. Let’s break it down.
- Price: Not announced
- Pre-order: Not announced
- Official release: September 21 (in South Korea, followed by other countries including the U.S.)
- Models 64GB and 128GB (also known as the V30+) variants each with microSD expandability
- Colors: Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue, and Lavender Violet
- Carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon
During the announcement, LG did not specify how much the V30 will sell for. It was revealed after the event that it will sell for €900 in Europe, which converts to $1,069 in U.S. dollars. Before you freak out, the price is always different overseas, so it likely be less expensive in the U.S. Once we get concrete numbers we’ll pass them along.
LG was also surprisingly mum on details as to when we can expect to get the V30. It was announced that the V30 will arrive on September 21 in South Korea, but other markets weren’t addressed. LG didn’t announce a pre-order date either, but if it follows the same pattern as the V20, it’ll be a while. Last year, LG took the wraps off the V20 on September 6, but didn’t take pre-orders October 7, with sales beginning October 28. Let’s hope LG speeds up the process this time around.
Two models for the V30 will be available, a 64GB option and a 128GB option that is also being referred to as the V30+, although none of the specifications, other than storage, have changed. Each will feature microSD expandability and with the 64GB variant available in all four color options—Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue, and Lavender Violet. It’s not clear how many colors the 128GB V30+ will come in, but LG did announce it will be only be available in limited markets.
The V30 will be available on all four major carriers in the U.S., but none has shared details of pricing or availability. Verizon did say the device would arrive “in early fall.”
As more information becomes available, we’ll be sure to update this post.
