Knack II demo now available to prove the game’s good

I did not like the original Knack. This was a PlayStation 4 launch game that felt repetitive, boring and, quite frankly, poorly designed.

Some agreed with me, others did not. As the Knack is a “mastahpiece” meme gained steam, it seemed that true fans came out of the woodwork. Yes, some people apparently loved the original Knack.

PlayStation has a free demo up for Knack II now that’s just as much for me as it is for people who loved the first game. You can download the demo now, and it checks in at 2.2 GB.

Fans of the original Knack will love the demo because it gets that hype train rolling ahead of the game’s September 5 launch. I dig the demo because Sony’s offering me an opportunity to see whether or not they’ve changed the game’s tune enough to get me to play.

That’s why I’m downloading this demo now. So many people are saying that Knack is actually pretty good, so I figure I’ll give it a shot. Clearly, Sony’s choice to release a demo in the modern era demonstrates their own confidence in the product. Maybe Knack II is fantastic.

We’ll know soon enough.
