Xbox One X response “overwhelming,” according to Microsoft

The Super NES Classic might not be the only hard system to get this holiday, if what Microsoft is spouting through one of its executives winds up being true. The Xbox One X is apparently in demand.

Speaking to DualShockers last week, Xbox Games Marketing General Manager Aaron Greenberg explained that the response to the Xbox One X has been “overwhelming” so far, noting that some retailers sold out of pre-orders immediately.

They’ve recognized the demand, apparently, and Greenberg said that they intend to make as many Xbox One X systems as they can in order to meet the need.

When the conversation shifted to the overall demand of the product, Greenberg says that it’s “gonna be the number one” in the category.

“We’ll see. We’re gonna make as many Xbox One Xs as we can make. All the signs are that it’s gonna be the number one hit product of this Holiday, so we’re gonna keep up with demand the best that we can.”

Did you pre-order and Xbox One X? I didn’t, but I’m pretty happy with the systems I have right now.
