Nintendo to hype the upcoming wave of Nindies tomorrow

The Nindies are returning to the Switch tomorrow with a streaming event hosted by Nintendo. The show is set to announce a host of high profile indie titles before the console gallops into PAX next week.

Nintendo’s show will air on Aug. 30 at 10:00 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. EST, and the company says it will only discuss “multiple indie games coming to Nintendo Switch.”

What are we going to see?

Nintendo has not announced or even hinted at the games it will be talking about, but that doesn’t mean we can’t guess. Highest on my list of priorities is the release date of Stardew Valley, which is leaving a lot of fans anxious thanks to it remaining a mystery.

Golf Story looks like a solid indie title that could thrive on the Switch, and we still don’t have anything official on Owlboy’s release in spite of it being teased in Japan. Team Meat might even show up and give us more information on their port of Super Meat Boy. Beyond that, I’m hoping that Hive Jump developer Graphite Labs has something to announce beyond a Wii U release date, and I hope Nintendo finally caves into Game Maker and allows for Hyper Light Drifter to be ported.

And, in spite of its disappointing reception, I still want to play Yooka-Laylee. Hopefully, our Switch version snags a release date tomorrow.

Tune in tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. EST to find out more.
