What an absolute mess this whole Super NES Classic debacle continues to be. Folks who pre-ordered the system on Amazon are starting to receive a notice from the online retailer. Essentially, their shipping timeline has been messed up.
Twitter user and gaming information fire hose Wario64 shared a screenshot of the email he received from Amazon.

In case that tweet’s been deleted or you can’t read the image, here’s what it says.
We recently learned that we may miss your delivery promise and apologize for the inconvenience. You will still receive your order of Super NES Classic. We are working hard to ensure you get this item as soon as it is in stock. You can track the status of, or make any changes to, your order under Your Orders on Amazon.com.
It looks like Amazon offered pre-orders on more systems than their initial shipment allowed for, so they’ve had to back up the potential ship date for those who were able to snag the system.
Will Nintendo ever figure out the process of supply and demand?
