After weeks of psych outs, Essential is finally shipping the Essential Phone to customers. The company broke the news over Twitter this afternoon, calming down customers who’ve been waiting since the original 30 day window back in May to receive their phone.
The news comes just a few days after press units went out to reviewers. We have one here in the office and are checking it out. Expect our review soon.
We're beginning to ship Essential Phone! Please look out for an e-mail today with tracking info. We appreciate everyone's patience!

If you did pre-order an Essential Phone, a confirmation email should be hitting your inbox some time soon.
The Essential Phone costs $699 and promises a brand new experience from other devices with an integrated operating system, Ambient OS, and intriguing modular design.
Essential is led by Android co-founder Andy Rubin, and it’s brand new company, which might explain all of its growing pains. It remains to be seen if Essential will fulfill all the pre-orders or suffer another set back. But at least now it’s shipping.
