ARMS latest fighter Lola Pop is an ode to kung fu, clowns, and candy stores

Nintendo finally revealed ARMS‘ first DLC character this week, hinting at how it plans to extend the shelf life of its popular fighting game. Lola Pop will join the roster when Nintendo rolls out the 3.0 update on an unspecified date later this fall.

As for the character herself, she’s got quite a unique design. That clown suit is the most obvious part of her design, and its powers translate into the clown theme with Lola being able to inflate her blow up or bend and twist it like an animal balloon. She’s also got a nice candy look about her as well, with sweets and gumdrops hanging from her as jewelry.

But let’s not forget why she’s ultimately here: the pick a fight and win. Along with her inflatable body, Lola Pop also fights with a new and unique pair of nunchucks. You’ll be able to try her out for free this weekend during the next scheduled Global Punch Tests running from 8 a.m. PT Aug. 25th until 1 p.m. PT Aug. 27th.

ARMS is available for the Nintendo Switch.
