I can think of few indie games that are more highly anticipated or as perfectly suited for gameplay on the Nintendo Switch as Stardew Valley. However, fans of the game continue to be tormented by the seemingly eternal question of “When?!” with a release date constantly evading them.

We know it’s coming since both the creator and Nintendo have confirmed the port’s existence, but it hasn’t gotten any official release date yet. That’s because the creators are being extra cautious with the announcement. When answering a fan’s question, Chucklefish developer Tom Coxon had this to say.

Stardew Valley is already available for PC and PlayStation 4. A Switch version is inbound, but again, no release date just yet.
