Netflix’s Little Evil makes Adam Scott Damien’s step-dad

Usually when cultists are trying to bring the child of a demon into our world in a movie, the protagonists are trying to stop that from happening. But what if it already happened – like seven years ago? That’s the premise of the upcoming Netflix horror-comedy Little Evil.

If the trailer doesn’t grab you immediately, though, maybe the pedigree will. The feature is directed by Eli Craig, who also brought us Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, in the gallery below. That should be enough right there. The movie stars Adam Scott, and features Evangeline Lilly (Ant-Man), Clancy Brown (Daredevil, The Flash, Spongebob Squarepants), and Donald Faison (Scrubs), so it should be a riot.

Little Evil seems like a fun twist on Rosemary’s Baby and gives Scott the chance to do what he does best – try to cope with utterly absurd happenings around him. Which is enough to get me in.

The wait on this one isn’t long, either. It hits Netflix on September 1.
