Android 8.0 Oreo OTA now rolling out—but probably not for your device

Google has started rolling out the much-anticipated Android 8.0 Oreo update (yes, it’s now official) for all smartphones enrolled in its beta program—but don’t get too excited.

Android fan Artem Russakovskii revealed that the upgrade is suffering from a glitch, which is preventing it from installing on certain devices, namely the Pixel and Pixel XL.

Big G has reportedly fixed the issue—and that has been confirmed by a number of users over on Twitter—though I’m still unable to install the OTA on my handset.

When will Oreo arrive on my Verizon-branded Galaxy S8?

Much to our dismay, there’s no word on when the release will arrive on carrier-branded smartphones. Hopefully, we don’t have to wait too long.
