Souped-up variant of the OnePlus 5 will fill you with envy

There’s no denying the fact that the OnePlus 5 is an incredibly powerful smartphone, but that hasn’t stopped OnePlus from launching a souped-up model of the handset in India, which is equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage as standard; however, that’s all that’s different.

When you consider that the handset demands a Rs. 5,000 ($78) premium on top of the regular Rs. 32,999 ($514) price tag for a couple of extra gigabytes of RAM and double the storage space, it seems a lot more logical to opt for the base model, and then invest in an affordable cloud-based storage platform.

Let’s take a trip down short-term memory lane

For those in need of a refresher, the OnePlus 5 is OnePlus’ latest flagship smartphone. Under the hood, it sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 835 CPU, an impressive 16MP dual-camera, a 16MP front-facing shooter and a 3,300mAh non-removable Li-Po battery.
