Just days before it was scheduled to launch, the PC version of the highly anticipated Sonic Mania has sadly been pushed back. The game will now release on Aug. 29, two weeks after its originally intended Aug. 15 release.

SEGA apologized for the delay and promised a free copy of the original Sonic the Hedgehog to make up for the lost time. It also published the game’s drop-dead brilliant intro video, sparking memories of the hedgehog during the peak of his 90’s cartoons wit and humor.

Sonic Mania will still be released on Aug. 15 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned for our thoughts on one of our most highly anticipated releases of the year.
