Lenovo won’t release the Nougat update for some of its phones

Lenovo has revealed that it won’t release the much-anticipated Android 7.0 Nougat update for any of its Phab-branded smartphones, including the Phab 2, Phab 2 Plus and Phab 2 Pro.

It’s strange that the firm has decided to skip the upgrade for the Phab 2 Pro, because it was the first consumer-focused Tango AR handset to hit the shelves — and that was only last year.

I’m not sure about you, but if I’m spending 500 bucks on a smartphone that bundles so-called revolutionary technology, I’d expect it to receive at least the next major build of Android.

This is sure to be unpopular

We have a feeling the Lenovo’s plan is going to be met with harsh criticism from existing customers, who it needs to retain, so there’s a (good) chance it will change course on its decision in the near future.
