Twitter’s working on adding a much-requested feature to its web client

The folks over at 9to5Google spotted something rather interesting on Wednesday: Twitter is testing a new Night Mode feature for its web client.

Night Mode, which debuted on the firm’s Android application last year, introduces a number of subtle design changes intended to make using the platform in poorly lit environments a little easier on your eyes.

In a statement issued to TechnoBuffalo, Twitter confirmed that it’s experimenting with the feature for desktop, adding that it’s currently only available for a small group of test users, but should reach more customers in the near future.

If you’re feeling impatient, there are a number of Chrome extensions on the market that are capable of doing the exact same thing. Our favorite one comes courtesy of Sriram Thiagarajan. Check it out here.
