T-Mobile this week introduce a mid-range smartphone called the Revvl that will come in at pretty competitive price.
The Revvl (pronounced rebel) is an Android-powered device that T-Mobile says will offer a “brand new feature-packed phone designed specifically for T-Mobile customers.”
Chief among the reasons T-Mobile gave for making the Revvlwas the fact that T-Mobile customers use their phones more than other carriers’ customers. This is in large part to its unlimited data plan that was available long before its competition started doing the same.
The Revvl features a 5.5-inch HD display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage with expandability up to 128GB, 13MP main camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 3,000mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner on the back. Out of the box it will come with Android 7.0 Nougat.
On the design front, it looks like a standard smartphone. It has the big display on the front, big top and bottom bezels and the camera is placed in the center of the back just above the fingerprint scanner. T-Mobile didn’t specify if the Revvl would be available in other colors, but the standard option is called Metallic Black.
But the best reason why the Revvl is such an appealing smartphone is its starting price. T-Mobile customers can pick up a Revvl for zero down and $5 a month through its Jump On Demand plan. That’s quite impressive when you consider the Revvl’s beefy specs.
The T-Mobile Revvl will be available for purchase starting tomorrow at participating stores.
