iPhone 8 leak shows a sharp new design and it’s all screen

How can you tell summer is drawing to a close? The iPhone starts leaking out every where you turn.

The newest leak comes courtesy of noted leaker Evan Blass (aka Evleaks) and is a render from an unknown case maker. While the device is shown inside of a case, it does show us a few key details.

As has long been rumored, the iPhone 8 is shown with virtually no bezels. This isn’t exactly a surprise as it appears that is where the industry is quickly moving. The home button does appear to be gone, and with no clear evidence of it lurking as an embedded feature in the screen, that does add some credence to the ongoing speculation that the fingerprint scanner will move to the rear of the device.

Last, but certainly not least as the saying goes, is the cutout at the top for the front facing camera and the phone’s ear piece. This is visually going to take some getting used to, but it does make sense with the battery and signal information essentially just moving on to what was the top bezel.

As this leak does come from a third-party case maker, we do suggest taking it with a grain of salt. There is no way to verify if this company is working from any sort of official specifications or if it is merely based off of numerous leaks. Consider this fun speculation.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 8, iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus in September.
