When the iPhone 8 makes its anticipated debut next month, it may appear in a color we haven’t seen from Apple before.
A new series of images have appeared on Chinese microblogging site Weibo claiming to show off the three color options for the iPhone 8. The traditional black and white are present, but the third color is a cross between a champagne gold and some form of copper which people have already taken to calling Copper Gold. We don’t anticipate that being the official name, but it will do for now.
For now, these images need to be treated with definite caution. As they do not show any other details than the rear of the device. there is every chance these are dummy units made by an outside firm for case testing. There is nothing to say that these are actual components from Apple, so there are chances that this is a completely fake color. And as rumors continue to build of a rear fingerprint scanner on the iPhone 8, it’s also worth noting that feature is absent from the units in the pictures.
With the iPhone production lines heating up, expect partsleaks to become a daily part of the news cycle until the device’s September unveiling.
