Google offers steep discounts on Pixel smartphones

Google is offering some steep discounts on its Pixel smartphones that could save you up to $200. The discounts are likely an effort to boost sales of the company’s existing models ahead of a Pixel refresh in the coming months, but they’re well worth checking out if you don’t want to wait.

All the discounts are available from the Google Store, and the amount you’ll save depends on the model you choose. For instance, the entry-level Pixel with a 5-inch display and 32GB of storage is now priced at $524, down from $649. However, the larger Pixel XL now starts at $569, which is a hefty $200 cheaper than its regular price tag.

A free Daydream View headset, usually priced at $79, is still included with each Pixel phone, so you could be saving close to $300 in total. And you end up with a stellar Android device that packs a powerful Snapdragon 821 processor and 4GB of RAM, incredibly impressive cameras, and Google’s latest software as soon as it’s available.

The only downside to this deal is that it won’t be long before Google’s most recent Pixel smartphones are outdated. Rumors surrounding the Pixel 2 lineup has been ramping up recently, and it’s likely to drop in the coming months.
