Galaxy S8 Active specs leak out ahead of announcement

The Galaxy S8 Active is becoming more and more of a reality as additional leaks hit the internet. Last time we checked in there was a hands-on video giving us a good look at the physical aspects of the device, but now we may have a better idea of what’s going on inside of it as well.

Three images – all appearing to be photos taken of a computer screen – show off the majority of the specs we can expect from the upcoming Galaxy S8 Active.

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
  • 5.8-inch AMOLED, 2960 x 1440 with Gorilla Glass 5
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 64GB internal memory
  • microSD support up to 256GB
  • Android 7.0 (at launch)
  • IP68 and MIL-STD-810G
  • 12MP dual-pixel rear camera
  • 8MP front camera
  • 4000mAh battery
  • Dimensions: 5.99 x 2.95 x .39
  • Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth 5.1
  • NFC
  • MST
  • A-GPS
  • Glosnass

As with any leak of this nature, we suggest you take it with a grain of salt, but nothing here is sending up a red flag immediately. They appear as though it could be from some form of presentation or even a reviewers guide.

There’s nothing terribly unexpected here, but it looks like it will be as durable as any of the previous Galaxy Active variants, and with a 4000mAh battery it should keep you going for quite some time whether you’re just out and about for the day, working on a job site or hiking your favorite trails.

The Galaxy S8 Active is expected to be announced any day now, so stay tuned. For now, check out the images of the specs along with the various leaked images that we’ve come across in the past few weeks.
